Indrek Halliste (Indrek Halliste) becomes the new Chairman of the Hansabuss Group Management Board.

The Management Board of AS Hansabuss, one of Estonia’s largest bus company groups, appointed Indrek Halliste as the company’s new Chairman of the Management Board. He will start his work at the group in early February 2020.

Indrek Halliste has previously worked in the structures of the Agricultural Board and the Veterinary and Food Board, leading the Agricultural Board from 2013 to 2016, and the Veterinary and Food Board since spring 2016. Indrek Halliste has been a member of the Estonian Lawyers’ Association since 2006 and is a certified coach.

According to Neeme Tammis, Chairman of the Hansabuss Supervisory Board, the group of companies had been looking for a new CEO for the past 3-4 months. “We did not hold a public competition, but we spoke with several strong leaders. The management board member agreement has now been signed, and we are pleased that Indrek decided to join us,” said Tammis. Kalmar Meidla, who has served as Hansabuss CEO for the past six months, will also continue to work on the group’s management board. “Kalmar is a bus transport person through and through, one of the team’s golden assets,” Tammis added.

Indrek Halliste says that the decisive factor was the desire to realize himself in the private sector. “I started my employee career in the private sector, after which I have held various state positions for a long time. I believe that it benefits both the manager himself and society at large if managers take responsibility in both the public and private sectors. The Hansabuss Group is an excellent group of companies, created from scratch, whose owner has a clear vision and expectations for the group’s future development. I hope to contribute to the implementation of this ambitious plan,” said Halliste. Since 2002, Halliste has worked in various positions at the Veterinary and Food Board, as well as the Agricultural Board.

Hansabuss is part of Hansa Group, one of the largest groups with Estonian capital in the Baltics, which is engaged in bus transport, sales and service of autonomous and commercial vehicles. It includes 16 companies, employing 700 people.
