Hansa Group has agreed to sell 100% of the shares of Hansabuss to the CapMan Nordic Infrastructure II fund, managed by CapMan Infra.

This transaction marks a significant step in the next stage of Hansabuss’s development. The new owner’s international experience and competence in the transport sector will create additional opportunities for the company’s growth, investment, and international cooperation.

Strong company, strong partner

Since its founding in 1995, Hansabuss has grown into the largest private public transport bus operator in the Baltics and one of the leading transport companies in the region.

Currently, the company operates in Estonia and Latvia, providing public transport, charter transportation, school transport, employee transport, and international transport services. The Hansabuss fleet consists of more than 500 buses, and the company employs approximately 800 people.

Hansa Group founder Neeme Tammis emphasizes that this is a strategic decision that will allow Hansabuss to continue its development together with a strong international partner.

Hansabuss is a successful company with an experienced management team, loyal employees, and significant growth potential. The new owner’s international experience and industry competence will create additional opportunities for development, strengthening market positions, and seizing new growth opportunities.

What does this mean for our customers?

Nothing changes for customers.

Hansabuss management remains in the hands of the current team, and all services, customer relationships, contracts, and development projects will continue as before.

Sergejs Vahņickis, CEO of Hansabuss Latvia, emphasizes that the new owner will help the company further strengthen its development opportunities.

As the new owner, CapMan Infra will provide valuable international experience and industry expertise, which will strengthen our current operations and support future development. This will allow us to ensure even higher service quality, take advantage of additional growth opportunities, and consolidate our position in the Baltic market.

Sustainable growth and future investments

CapMan Infra is one of the leading Nordic infrastructure investors with significant experience in the public transport sector. The company has invested in Finland’s largest bus transport company, Koiviston Auto, and the Norwegian ferry operator Norled.

The new owner’s goal is to support the next phase of Hansabuss’s growth, including investments in low-emission transport, electric buses, and the improvement of the company’s operations.

The closing of the transaction still requires approval from the Estonian Competition Authority and the fulfillment of other customary conditions. The transaction is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2026.

Hansabuss will continue its mission to provide safe, reliable, and high-quality transport services in Latvia, Estonia, and on international routes.
